Construction Project Manager

Terms 

Reports to: Construction Department Leader 

Duration: Full-time 

Type of Position: Direct Hire 

Payment: Commensurate with experience 

Location: Southeastern Wisconsin 

Start Date: To be determined upon acceptance of an offer 

Job Summary 

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for being the front line of support for our construction projects. Key areas of emphasis include planning and ongoing management of project budget and schedule,  constant communication with customers and key project stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction,  maintaining and creating customer relationships. The position will lead by example and will demonstrate the core values of Current Electric. 

Job Duties 

  • Purchasing materials, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining the needs of multiple projects Planning and scheduling Jobsite expectations, meetings, and inspections 
  • Maintaining positive interactions with employees and customers 
  • Preparing and editing correspondence and reports 
  • Review plans and drawings, prepare cost take-offs on assigned projects 
  • Cost projections and analysis 
  • Weekly review of project budget and timecards 
  • Job start-up planning, organization, and preconstruction preparations 
  • Ensure onsite overall quality control 
  • Performance reviews of Foreman, crews, and apprentices 
  • Capable of learning and utilizing project management software 
  • Capable of providing design assistance and feedback to team 
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications 

  • Understanding of industry terms 
  • Minimum 3 years of project management in the construction industry 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and high integrity with the ability to make solid connections with customers and co-workers
  • Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have computer skills
  • Electrical experience highly recommended
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work with little supervision
  • Leads by example: sets, monitors and enforces safety standards and quality of work set forth by Current Electric
  • Willingness to take on challenges
