This week we are pleased to announce Margaret “Maggie” Feng, Brookfield Central Senior, as our Superhero of the Week!
A dedicated and well-rounded scholar, Maggie has dedicated herself to making a positive impact throughout her entire high school career. Her passion is clear through the various classroom, extracurricular, and athletic activities she invests in. Currently, she holds a 4.8 GPA, is a Coca-Cola Scholar Semi-Finalist, a National Merit Semifinalist, and a Herb Kohl Scholarship finalist. She plans on majoring in Biological Engineering and is committed both academically and athletically (softball) to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
In addition to her academic studies, Maggie is the BCHS Senior Class President, Key Club Co-President, DECA Executive Board Member, Hope Squad Representative, Distinguished Young Women (DYW) Member, Blue Crew Leadership Team Member, NHS member, and a competitive trombonist. Maggie reflects fondly on the impact these experiences have had on her.
“I’ve gotten to form deep relationships with many organizational leaders within the Greater Milwaukee Area, including the MACC Fund, the Kelly Johnson Foundation, and Angel Tree,” she expressed. “Working closely with organizations like these has helped open my eyes to the impact that anyone of any age could make for the greater good.”
Additionally, Maggie is a devoted and driven competitive softball player as well. She is a third-year varsity captain for Brookfield Central's team and currently plays travel softball for the Wisconsin Lightning Organization. Maggie is a middle infielder and utility and is a two-time First Team All-Conference infielder. She credits her coaches and teammates through both Central and Lightning for pushing her to get to the spot she is in today, and ultimately get recruited to play collegiate softball for MIT.
