This week we congratulate Kylie Rich as our Superhero of the Week!
For many high school students, classes and homework are more than enough to keep one busy, but for Kylie that is merely where it begins. In addition to her athletic sport activities, Kylie is deeply concerned with academics and activism, being both Co-Founder of her school's Debate Club, as well as sitting President of the Students Against Violence Everywhere Club!
Kylie is a natural born leader who is determined to leave a positive impact on her community and society. This drive naturally takes her activism beyond the walls of her classroom. She is a Student Representative on the Mukwonago School District Board and is serving as one of nine students from across the country on the Sandy Hook Promise Youth Advisory Board!
As a representative of her generation, Kylie spends much of her time working to bring youth voices into important conversations and advocating for change. She has knocked on the doors of Congress, spoken on national panels, organized a national youth leadership summit with Sandy Hook, and has no intention of slowing down! She plans on continuing her changemaking and pursuing an education in political science and pre-law.
