This week, we recognize Braeden Tomczyk. a senior at Burlington High School. Throughout his high school career, Braeden have been involved in many clubs and organizations that are offered. He participates in Student Government, DRIVEN, Best Buddies, Key Club International, National Honors Society, Mental Health Awareness Week Committee, and the BHS1 Program. He said he enjoys joining programs where he is able to be of service to others.

Braeden also played volleyball for all 4 years of high school, and served as captain his junior and senior year.

He earned Summa Cum Laude and was named Academic Top 10.

Outside of school, he works as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Oak Ridge Care Center in Union Grove and also works at Wisconsin Vision Associates/Fait Distribution in Burlington. In addition to his two jobs, he also does ride-a-longs as an intern for the Burlington Fire Department while working toward his EMT license, which he expects to get within the next month.

Next year, Braeden plans to attend Marquette University where he will major in nursing. His dream job with this degree is to work as a Trauma Nurse in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center.

"I’d like to thank all of the people who have supported me throughout the years and helped me achieve my goals," he said. "I'd like to thank my parents, my brothers, Mason, Josh, and Brooks, and my teachers who have pushed me to be the best student, helper, and human being that I can be."
