Current Cares Is the Philanthropic Arm of Current Electric
Current Cares was launched in November of 2020 as a way for Current Electric to give back to those around us in our communities.
Our team mission is, “To support small, local nonprofits and community groups by providing services and support in order to help our neighbors and communities in which we live and work.”
Here are a few of the ways that Current Cares supports our community:
- Each quarter this group chooses a “charity of the quarter”. The charity that is chosen receives a $1,000 donation and other means of support. Past charities of the month have been: Waukesha County Food Pantry, American Red Cross, Milwaukee Riverkeepers, and Ronald McDonald House Charities
- Provide opportunities to gather together to support our environment and those in need in our community.
- Support employee requests for team sponsorships, children’s activities and school drives.
- Provide free and reduced cost electrical services to our customers with special needs and attention requirements.
- Team up with organizations (such as Revitalize Milwaukee) to help people with health and safety needs get much needed electrical repairs completed.
- Support opportunities for gatherings within the community such as Tosa Night Out.
